Honey is a sweet food made by bees foraging nectar from flowers. The variety produced by honey bees (the genus Apis) is the one most commonly referred to, as it is the type of honey collected by most beekeepers and consumed by people.

Honey gets its sweetness from the monosaccharide, fructose and glucose and has about the same relative sweetness as granulated sugar. It has attractive chemical properties for baking and a distinctive flavour that leads some people to prefer it over sugar and other sweeteners. Most microorganisms do not grow in honey because of its low water activity.

Our PVA fibers are used mainly as reinforcement in corrugated sheets (fiber cement asbestos free) for roofing buildings for civil use and factory sheds.

In the production of fiber cement corrugate sheet the sole fiber that can replace asbestos is PVA fiber. Fiber cement corrugate sheet are subjected to extreme heat in summer and cold in winter.The expansion of the sheet are huge and only a pva fiber can withstand to these tractions.

1. Silica fume forms additional binders = pozzolanic reaction

   The hydration (mixing with water) of Portland cement produces many compounds, including calcium silicate hydrates (CSH) and calcium hydroxide (CH). When silica fume is added to fresh concrete it chemically reacts with the CH to produces additional CSH. The benefit of this reaction is twofold; increased compressive strength and chemical resistance.

2. Silica fume is ultra fine material (0,15 micron)= fill the gaps and voids increasing impermeability

   Silica fume is 100 to 150 times smaller than a cement particle it can fill the voids created by free water in the matrix. This function, called particle packing, refines the microstructure of concrete, creating a much denser pore structure. Impermeability is dramatically increased, because silica fume reduces the number and size of capillaries that would normally enable contaminants to infiltrate the concrete.
